AjaxSearch 1.5 now with Mootools

Hello

I was wondering how I could use just the text input field to submit the search form when enter is hit - I’d like to avoid showing a submit button - maybe I could use mootools, but how.

Besides the question above, I’m experiencing some issues with AjaxSearch - when I click on a link on the search results and then hit the back button in IE7, I’m getting the following error: "Webpage has expired" - is there a way to avoid this?

this is the shortcut I get: "http://localhost/sites/aj.com/index.php?id=58&searched=jackie&highlight=ajaxSearch_highlight+ajaxSearch_highlight1" and this is my call:

I’m wondering why those parameters are getting added to the call: "&highlight=ajaxSearch_highlight+ajaxSearch_highlight1"

Just upgraded to MODx 0.9.6RC1, and then upgraded the AjaxSearch to the one from here (first post). Not getting any results displayed. The spinner image does its thing, then the form just sits there with the search text still in the field and the Go button. Basic snippet call, cached page, uncached snippet call - [!AjaxSearch!]

The only thing I’ve done is to make the Go button have a background image, and change the name of the close image in the js file.

The same changes work fine on another site using version 1.2

[edit] Logged out of the Manager and it works fine. I see the QuickEdit is loading mootools after the AjaxSearch loads a different copy...

Grab the latest 095dev Susan. All is fixed in that one.

I see the dev just got merged into the main trunk, I’ll wait another day or two and see what comes up.

I’m geeting the same problem as susan with the v1.6 release. Basic snippet call on page.

I’ve reverted back to .95.0 v1.1 as that’s still works.. Weird.

I have a similar problem:

The ajaxsearch only works if executed on a "first-level-page" if executed on a lower level page same as above:

Secondly:
There is the index-ajax.php missing in the dl-package. I am using the "old" version of this file.

I experieance the error posted above on your homepage, too! So this may be a bug...

I am using the AjaxSearch included with rev 2447 and am getting the following javascript in FF 2.0.0.2 when the page loads:

Window.onDomReady is not a function
Window.onDomReady(activateSearch);

Says the error is in AjaxSearch.js on line 177.

In IE7 on page load I get the following:

’Window’ is undefined. Error is on line 178.

My call looks like this:

[!AjaxSearch? ajaxSearch=`1` &AS_landing=`4` &extract=`1` &moreResultsPage=`4` &showMoreResults=`1` &addJscript=`0` &extract=`0` &AS_showResults=`0`!]

And that call was taking from the default content included with rev 2447. Any help would be appreciated.

take out the addJscript parameter, it is in the default content because the library is hard-coded in the template

Kylej, here is the french language file (UTF-8).

I have a question : I’m using v1.6 (with MODx 0.9.6 RC2) I’ve downloaded on your website and sometimes I get some HTML code in my extract, sometimes not.

Is there any way to prevent HTML tags to be used in extracts. For exampe, on one search, I get a h3 in the middle of the extract which is styled totally different from the others words

(I’m not using Ajax)

By the way : really fine the template.inc.php file !! Can customize everything without modfying the snippet code and keeping a .txt file to note all the changes done
