You will need to have a seprate Ditto call creating the Reflect archives on your target page until I complete Reflect. It will eventually be able to make its own Ditto calls but until then....

Right, but what I am saying is that when you select a month archive, all the other months disappear. Is this because Reflect can only search what ditto outputs? Is there a way around this?

Exactly, Ditto can only search what Ditto sends it ATM. And Ditto sends the documents AFTER the filter not before the filter.

I found a possible bug in reflect. I am posting here to see if anyone else is experiencing this. At the same time, I am searching through the Reflect snippet to see If I can offer a fix.

The problem I am having is when I click on a Reflect archive (mine are ordered by month), It never shows any items that were created on the last day of the month. For example, I have blog entries on May 31st and November 30th (both on the last day of their respective months, but the actual digit is different). These Items are displayed normally in my ditto call, but when I click the Reflect link for May 2006, all the items show up except this one. Same for the item dated on November 30th. As a test, I used doc manager module and changed the created on date and the published on date to May 30th, and it was listed just fine in Reflect. Funny think is, it just sort of drops off the face of the planet if it is the last day of the month. It doesn’t go to the month it is supposed to and it doesn’t get listed in the next month’s items either.

The code that filters which items to show is in the Ditto classes/filter.class.inc.php file under the date case.

I’ll take another look at that code as soon as I get a chance.

I’ve upgraded my Ditto version as well this morning, but I’m experiencing some oddness I can’t find on the forum here;
I’m using the Ditto call

[[Ditto? &startID=`2` &summarize=`3` &trunc=`0` &displayArchive=`0` &hideFolders=`0` &mode=`development` &dateFormat=`%A%e %B %G` &tpl=`NewsPost` &commentsChunk=`JotBlogComments` &tagData=`tvblogTags`]]

but, somehow, it’s not filling up the [+summary+] placeholder in my template unless I enable truncating, but I want to show the full article.

This should fix that. In classes/ditto.class.inc.php replace:

			$ditto->summaryType = $trunc->summaryType;

Hi Mark,

I’d like to call Ditto within a module.
I’ve tried several ways(runSnippet, include files) to do it but without succeding.
To make it work I need to change the way ditto builds URL
Is there any chance you include in the code a statement to look if we are in the manager and then apply different rules to make the url.

I’ve written a form builder based on selected TVs.

I’d like to provide the same functionnality within the module tveditor to retrieve documents filtered on TVs

If I’m changing your code in order to suit my needs
Would you agree to include it in the next release of ditto ? That way people could use my form builder to create advanced search and manage TV options within the manager with tveditor.
