I’m currently porting my web hosting site to modx and thought I would share this new snippet for checking if domain names are available:

Nice, but after submitting a name the page reloads and the text box contains "1".

Yup a coding typo I noticied doing a search on a domain name takes ages with this script:

MySQL: 0.0030 s, 6 request(s), PHP: 4.6706 s, total: 4.6736 s

However I’m just working with a new one using www.enom.com API getting times like this now

MySQL: 0.0035 s, 8 request(s), PHP: 0.5007 s, total: 0.5043 s

If anyone is interested in the enom api one or needs an enom reseller account let me know.

Can you please post your code for your current version? I would like to use it and I think it would be useful for other people. Posting it into this discussion thread would be good, but adding it to the repository at http://modxcms.com/repository-upload.html would be great as well.
