MooShowGallery : mooShow meets Modx

Hi folks,

Here is my first snippet.

FEATURES:
Display a mooshow Gallery from a folder in assets/images/
Edit IPTC Infos for displayed images.

INSTALLATION:

1/ Upload mooshow folder to assets/snippets/

2/ Create requiered chunks

Run phpMyAdmin to insert mooChunk.sql
Required for mooshow - makeForm

3/Create a new snippet Called mooShowGallery
Copy and paste the mooshow.snippet.php code.

4/Create a doc from wich you want to call mooShowGallery
Sample call:
[[mooShowGallery? &pathToImg=`myFolder`]]
[+galleryOutputTable+] //admin table
[+mooFormEdit+] //form to edit IPTC Infos

5/Set the doc to uncached.
Or else visitors wil seed admin pages.

PARAMS :

&pathToImg starts from assets/images/
for Additionnal params see snippet code

IMAGE FILES MUST BE 777

KNOWN ISSUE:
IPTC are restricted to JPG Files.

Very cool indeed. I really like the Mooshow gallery and find it really easy to use. Does this work with mootools yet?

Never heard ... is that a snippet or js api name for moo package.

Mootools is the better/faster/more capable combined version of all teh moo.fx + moo.dom + moo.ajax: http://mootools.net/ (and coincidentally a strong contender for the JS-library of choice for MODx post-095).

The file ’mooChunk.sql’ content a error of syntax SQL. We can’t use this.

It’s Ok for the last file of mooChunk.sql I test your snippet.

As I said on the french side, way to go ! I told you Ryan would like it

It’s really great, not to mention it’s a first snippet ! I’ll give this extensive testing as soon as I am done with my two projects...

How in the Hell do I actually output the damn images? Can get the backend interface without any problems. I’m testing the new snippet on a right-protected page so therefore am logged in, do I have to be logged out to view the actual slideshow?

Might I also suggest mkaing an administration module for handling different galleries?
