[Plugin] Subsites/Subdomains

I’m trying to do what a couple of other people are trying or have succeeded in doing. I have modx 9.6.1 installed on site1.com and want to run site2.com from a folder of the installation. I have redirected site2.com to site1.com?index.php=xx and am using friendly urls so it works fine. However, the browser url reads http://site1.com/site2.com/somepage.html. Is it possible (preferably easy for a non-techie) to have the browser url read http://site2.com/somepage.html?

I have subsites set up on my site, and I run it all throught 1 cms. Just install this plugin and what it will do is when someone enters a particular domain i.e: www.viriko.com , the plug it redirects this to an id set in the plug in for example id 8. When someone enters the base domain on which modx is setup, it shows the page id set up in the config of modx.

The only difference is that when using the plug in, when modx redirects a domain you get a 301 moved perm, whilst for the original site its as normal "OK".

Plug in works great, the only thing you’d have to do is ask your host admin to set the same base dir for the 2 domains so both of them point to 1 public_html or www folder.

Hi, is there any more news on when the next version of MODx with contexts for subdomains will be available?

Shouldn’t be too hard, just some mod_rewrite trickery I would think, however my mod_rewrite skills are not on point.
