Is there a reason there isn’t an option to create a new text file in the Files tab or has it just not been added at this stage?
One of the first things I wanted to be able to do was to create a stylesheet and javascript file in the assets directory.

If I am correct, its not available yet. Though you can create a file on your system and upload it.
