incorrect user

Hi everyone,
i’ve two problems...
1) the manager don’t recognizes me... I’ve try to change te user and password on the _manager_user table without effect, and after some times the system blocked me. Someone can help me?

2) on another project, i try to install modx 1.0.3 but after the check of the connection with mySql, the check of the connection with the database doesen’t appears stopping the installation...

1. How are you trying to change the password? Are you issuing queries directly to the database or are you trying to use the forgot password link or what? What version of MODx are you using?
2. Can you tell us exactly what you’re seeing and exactly what steps you’re taking?
