Snippet to display results from modx site at different root

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of a snippet modification to ditto or newslister that would allow it to pull parents or documents from another modx site at a different root location. I have several reasons why this would be very advantageous to my site structure and rankins not to mention, if all goes well, would alleviate the 5000 document limit. Thanks for any response
