for us as a news website, sometimes articles aren’t fed into the cms by the same people who wrote the article.
Soo, that’s why we usually use the doc manager in modx evo to change the createdby thingy for our content.
I have developed a modification of the modx manager, such that the modification of the document’s creator can be set directly from the new/edit page dialog.
Feel free to try it but don’t forget to backup the files before installing mine!
Just copy the files into your modx root folder, it should ask you to overwrite the old files, do it.
I have also changed the way the creator / editor displays in the manager, such that it displays the full name of the user instead of just displaying the username, if you don’t like that, don’t copy the document_data.static.php
I will work on a similar thing for revo, as I don’t even have the doc manager there.
