So I created a new page in the admin panel and I have my MODx site set to publish by default. When I saw that the page I just created was published, I went back to uncheck Publish and clicked on Save.
When I went back to my home page, I saw that the page was still showing up in a Ditto call even though the default action for Ditto is to not display unpublished pages. I went back to the page to make sure that "Publish" was unchecked and for some reason it kept re-enabling itself. I tried to uncheck it and save it again and it still comes back!
Is this a known bug?
EDIT: Just figured it out...lol. Apparently the Publish date was still set from the action of publishing by default. Once I deleted the date and made sure the publish box was unchecked it worked properly
if you use cached pages your need to clear the cache first
