Switching to new directory on same server.

Hey all.

So, if I want to move my site from a development directory to the root (example.com/test to example.com) is there anything special I have to do or can I just use file manager to copy the contents of test to the root?

Total DB weenie , so I would appreciate some insight.

Basically that is it. I usually drag and drop all the files from the staging folder into the root folder

But you would also need to update the paths in:

Tools/Configuration/Interface & Features/File base path
Tools/Configuration/File Manager/File Manager path

Sometimes you need to update the .htaccess file. It’s usually the RewriteBase setting
