How to get all documents based on a value in a TV?

Hello,

This is a question on the API.

I want to get a list (ID, pagetitle and other TV values) of all documents which have a certain TV set to a certain value.
Already I tried to use the getDocumentChildrenTVars but that goes just one level deep and does take ALL documents.
(This might become too slow in my project)

So, is there a getDocumentChildrenTVars which does two extra things:
1) Let you go deeper than one level from the parent.
2) Gives a ’where-clause’ possibility where you can define the TV and the value.

Thank you for your info. I have not used DITTO before since I did not know what it exactly did. But now I learn it takes away the burden of going through documents with those API calls.

I will post further questions on DITTO in te DITTO section of the forums.
