I could use a bit of help or ideas with this tweak, I have 2 different domains running the same version/instance of the MODx manager – 0.9.6.2, and it is frustratingly close to working.
The post is a bit long, but I wanted to provide all of the info...
The structure of the directories is:
/var/www/vhosts/domain-one.com
/var/www/vhosts/domain-two.com
In domain-two.com I created symlinks to these directories in domain-one.com
manager -> /var/www/vhosts/domain-one.com/httpdocs/manager
In the assets directory
js -> /var/www/vhosts/domain-one.com/httpdocs/assets/js
modules -> /var/www/vhosts/domain-one.com/httpdocs/assets/modules
plugins -> /var/www/vhosts/domain-one.com/httpdocs/assets/plugins
snippets -> /var/www/vhosts/domain-one.com/httpdocs/assets/snippets
In the assets/templates directory
default -> /var/www/vhosts/realevents.ie/httpdocs/assets/templates/default
modxhost -> /var/www/vhosts/realevents.ie/httpdocs/assets/templates/modxhost
In config.inc.php for domain-one.com I changed the start of it to this:

When I log into the manager of either website the correct manager displays with the correct title, plugins, doc tree etc… but I have noticed 2 things.
I modified the welcome.html page in ‘manager/media/style/MODxLight/ to add a new tab to display the path constants, they work fine in domain-one.com but in domain-two.php they are all blank.

In domain-two.php the $_SERVER[’HTTP_HOST’] value isn’t even displayed.
Because these values aren’t available to domain-two.com, it is using the cache files from domain-one.com
The plugins in domain-two.com don’t seem to fire correctly but there are no errrors.
Does anyone have any ideas?
