How do I disable active tab state in mutate_content.dynamic.php?

I have a client who is bugged by the fact that the Manager remembers what tab was last active when editing a document. This client wants the General tab to be the selected tab when editing a document, regardless of what tab was active the last time a document was edited.

So far I have been unable to figure out how this feat is accomplished.

Could someone please give me a hint?

I would like to see this as a new option either in Configuration or for each User. "Remember last document tab".
My reason is that I am using ManagerManager more to create custom tabs to organize TVs into logical groups, so this gives rise to the situation where you can bring up a document, and tab you were on in the last document doesn’t even exist in the current one. In that case, you actually get no tab displayed and no tab activated.

The behaviour is handled within the JS, specifically the WebFXTabPane constructor. For example, in mutate_content.dynamic.php, the tab pane is initialised as:
