Right Click menu not functional in Firefox 3 RC 2

This is a problem that may disappear with the final release of Firefox 3, but it may not. The right click menu in the document tree appears, then disappears almost instantly, so it is unusable. I’ve been using this release candidate on many javascript-intensive web sites, and the only problem I’ve noticed so far is with the MODx right click menu, so a fix may turn out to be necessary. I’m using MODx 0.9.6.1p2

edit: If you hold down the right mouse button and drag it over onto the right-click menu, it stays, and you can use it, but if you just right click as you normally would, the menu doesn’t stay visible.

Can you file a report for this in the bugtracker please? Should be fixed since Fx 3 is so close and no longer really in beta. Thanks.

I don’t know if you want the bug report in the old bug tracking system or the new one, since this is an issue for pre .9.7 implementations, but I created a bug report in the newer bug tracking system (the one linked from the "bugs and requests" link on the forums).

Hopefully you’re still addressing issues in the old bugtracker too though. I’ve reported several in there in the past. I wish I had more time and expertise to actually help solve some of these things myself, and perhaps I will in the future, but for now I’ll at least report things.

We’re trying to shut down as many as quickly as possible in the old system. When we do shut it down we’ll put out a call to migrate any existing ones over to JIRA.
