Implementing a site search with modx

Hi

Can anyone tell me what the core compononet snippet etc is for modx
to implement a search on the site. Pretty similar to whats on the modx homepage.

Also is it possible to search the cache or does it query the database.

AjaxSearch is the snippet.
It ships with a standard install of MODx.
