where can I find the javascript to make my website xhtml valid?

just another where is everything question. I validate my site threw w3c and it says it is not valid it seems someone left out the "<!--" and "-->" in the javascript for the sidebar login I can view the source and see where the problem is but where can I find this script so I can solve this? Is it in the mysql db if so where is their a guide that shows where all the scripts are coming from? the script is
