    Hi all!
Which version of mootools is modx using now? (0.9.6.1)
I mean the version number (last is 1.11) and if it is complete or it lacks some feature

Which file do I have to "include" in the html? manager/media/script/mootools/mootools.js seems a good candidate, but I’m not sure (actually my slimbox script isn’t working and I was wondering if I have some conflict of mootools versions)

Mootools.js is the packed version of 1.0 I think.
I have also successfully used v1.1.
      The choice is yours.

Actually the choice is not mine, since the QuickEdit plugin uses the mootools.js that is in /manager/media/script/mootools/mootools.js , so I HAVE to use that one, in order to avoid conflicts when the QuickEdit is active...

        or am I wrong?

I’ve not tested QE with Mootools 1.11 ... can anyone confirm if it causes problems or not?

            hello,

i have replaced the mootools with the current version a couple of month ago. No errors in the backend or quickedit. But no warranty i seems to work for me. And i dont use specials like the maxigallery features lightbox/slimbox etc..

            adios, Stefan

I’ve swapped the manager version over to 1.11 on one site and didn’t notice any issues with Quick Edit.
I don’t have any other JS running on that site so I can’t guarantee no conflicts.

Actually I did that kind of substitution, but didn’t work and I thought it was a problem with QuickEdit.
Instead, the problem is the kind of compressor used while downloading mootools. With the version compressed with JavaScript Packer (the default), it does not work. Using YUI compression, it works.

Do you have the same problem?

When I say "works" I mean both in the manager (is it using mootools?), QuickEdit and Slimbox.

what script are needed in the script/mootools directory? I see a moodx.js, for example... what’s that? Is it right to have only moodx.js and mootools.js or some day I can experience some weird problem forgetting that I cleaned this directory?

I also put in the downloaded mootools everything but the plugins, maybe there is something else that can be avoided, but maybe it’s a matter of some ten bytes less.

I recently read an article (I forget where, now) demonstrating that both packers are pretty much useless, it takes the local machine longer to unpack the files than it does to download them raw. I suppose that would depend on what kind of connection the client has, though; not everybody in the world has high-speed broadband.

I think it’s a good idea and I’ll do that. How about the packed vs. unpacked debate... I’m leaning towards unpacked.
