    MODx can´t transform titles with accented characters into correct aliases. For example "Wörterbuch" should be transformed to "woerterbuch" (dictionary) not to "werterbuch". This is a real drawback for german websites and maybe websites in other languages, because you can´t let MODx create clean URLs.

    As a german native speaker I would like to suggest some changes at the file manager/processores/save_content.processor.php.

    'Ä' => 'ae',
    'Ö' => 'oe',
    'U' => 'ue',
    'ä' => 'ae',
    'ö' => 'oe',
    'ü' => 'ue',
    'ß' => 'sz',

    Maybe there are some more corrections to do for other languages?

      This is an issue for each language, as the special characters differ between languages. I believe it’s called "transliteration", and it should be addressed in 0962.

        Yes, good idea. Textpatterns i18n-related file has something like an override modus (for finnish e.g.). Is there a way doing something similiar in MODx: One big set of signs and letters for standard transliteration and then several language specific sets.

          Indeed, though we’ll be making it into a plugin for 0.9.6.2 so it will only be used if wanted, and so it can be customized to your heart’s content.

              Sounds good, the danish characters aren’t supported that great either.

              For reference:

              'Æ' => 'ae',
              'Ø' => 'oe',
              'Å' => 'aa',
              'æ' => 'ae',
              'ø' => 'oe',
              'å' => 'aa',

                Just found this one.
