Persistant 'register_globals' problems

Apologies if this isn’t the correct forum.

I am receiving the "Configuration warning: ’register_globals is set to ON in your php.ini configuration file’" even though the host swears it is set to OFF. Also, when I go to ’Manager/Reports/System Info/PHP Info it tells me that it is OFF.

So, is there a fix? Or, is there a way to eliminate this report since I know the server is set up correctly?

I’m not a programmer so any help is appreciated.
