    Hi,

am looking for a way to save state data and expected to find some sort of cookie support, but modx has nothing in place? Might overlook something on how to do this, otherwise will revert to php code.

    Thanks,

Why would MODx have any special support for cookies? PHP provides everything you need for dealing with cookies, and MODx is a PHP framework.

Well, the same can be said about db queries and MODx has a rudimentary API for that. So not too crazy to ask I presume.

Sorry, was not suggesting it was a crazy question; I was just asking what benefit such an API would serve. For instance, the DBAPI you refer to provides an abstraction layer for maintaining the MODx connection to the database, and a simplified API for less-SQL adept developers. I was legitimately asking what functions it might provide and/or any other rationalization for your query. Thought perhaps you had something in mind...
