I know how sometimes every little thing that comes along wants to claim to be a standard, but do you guys in charge of the installer think this would be worth looking in to?

I don’t know how many hosts are using this aleady, but I know 1&1 (the aps developer) has quite a few apps now in the hosting admin panel. It makes it really nice to experiment.
