Using Front End to select files from File Manager

Hi,

I am trying to create a functionality to create resources with files attached as TV selected from the file manager.

I am wondering if like Newspublisher are there are many snippets that allows me to select files from the file manager in the front end?

Or should create this from Scratch?

I have implemented such a feature in Newspublisher (for my own usage, but maybe BobRay has time to look at it someday). You can download the code here: https://github.com/marcsch/newspublisher.
I'm not sure if that's what you meant.
