    Hello MODx users and developers,

I encounter a strange behavior in some of my MODx 0.9.5 sites: document content and chunks are sometimes manipulated by MODx.
    I observed the following changes:

    • &qt; is added at the beginning of the content
    • random closing brackets of HTML tags (>) are replaced by a semicolon

I could not find a pattern when this strange behavior happens. Just noticed that sometimes working sites all of a sudden are broken.

    Anybody any solution or suggestion?

    Thanks

    Bogdan

I honestly don’t have a clue how that could happen. Is this when editing docs, or just when the site is running? Which MODx version?

        Hello Ryan,

Is this when editing docs, or just when the site is running?

That’s hard to say since the sites are under construction and contents are edited often.

        Which MODx version?

        As written above: 0.9.5

I honestly don’t have a clue how that could happen.

Yes me too. But maybe anyone else had similar problems?

        Thanks

What plugins are you running? Have you considered upgrading to 096 since it’s still under development?

            Just a 0.9.5 standard installation.

As far as I understood there are still some issues with 0.9.6, isn’t it? Will there be another minor release? I was planning to wait for that.

Not as many issues as there are with 095. smiley I don’t know when the next patch release will happen but you could grab the latest SVN trunk for some of the "important" fixes destined for 0961.

Just for the record: Safari was the culprit! I the specific version of Safari I used at that time was having this kind of strange bug. Unfortunately I can’t ell you the exact version when this bug occurs, however with the 3.x versions is was gone.
