Can someone straighten me out on status of the QuickEdit IE fix(es)?

Sorry if I seem a bit dense, but I am kinda confused on the status of IE fixes for QuickEdit. If possible, I’d like to get a brief level-set on where this stands.

I’ve tried the fixes for QuickEdit on IE that have been posted - I’ve even gone to the latest source tree to look at the changes in there. But, at least for me, QE still is dead broke on IE (I am using 0.9.6 RC3 with QE fixes applied to toolbar.css and QuickEdit.js to set that width to 112 and remove those opacity settings from the code). I’ve seen the posts where it is "fixed" - yet when I try these fixes, they flat out don’t work in either IE6 or IE7. So I have had to just disable QE for now. However, even when disabled, the (nonfunctional) QE menu bar still insists on showing up in IE (doesn’t in FF) - that is likely a separate issue though.

I’ve seen the post where it is mentioned that these fixes have been committed - but if they are simply the things I’ve already applied I’m skeptical about whether they’ll work.

So, if someone could provide a level-set on where the IE fixes for QE stand relative to the final 0.9.6 code, that would be great. When I install the 0.9.6 final code, should I expect to see QE working with IE or is there still some fluidity going on with respect to determining the proper fix?

Sorry to be a pest about this issue, but it is a great feature I’m really wanting to use!

Try downloading the full 096 public SVN source and see if it works. RC3 underwent many changes on it’s way to it’s proper 096 release.
