Returning Document ID of New Page Created

Hi all,

I’m planning to push the content of a custom database into the Modx document database using one of the document APIs that exist, however in the same snippet I would like to return the ID of the document created back to the custom database - for ease of administration later - is this possible?

Any tips on how to achieve this?
