Vericode not working with Internet Explorer

Hi all, after getting 800 spam comments on my wesbite I’m wanting to add a vericode field to the comment form on this blog to prevent this from happening again in the future I’m using Jot for commenting. I’ve added a vericode field to the form and it works fine on Firefox, but when I view the page on Internet Explorer it doesn’t display the picture. This isn’t limited to Jot either, I tried adding a Vericode field to a form generated by eForm to a different part of the site a while ago and that didn’t work on IE either. Typing the URL of the vericode generator directly into the address bar of either firefox or internet explorer (as in http://mydomain.org/manager/includes/veriword.php?rand=1234 ) spits back 5 PHP warnings followed by a bunch of jibberish that looks like a jpg. Could this be the problem - the php warnings are interfering with IE’s ability to display the picture or is it something else? Is Vericode not working in IE a common problem?
