I’m having a few difficulties with Wayfinder, and I think the problem is due to getUserDocGroups not working correctly. To quote my post in the wayfinder forum:
I’ve got a site with a layout like:
home
about
members area
- control panel
- buy stuff
- log out
browse
- cat 1
- cars
- boats
- cat 2
- holidays
- rentals
I only want the members area displayed when users are logged in, so obviously I’ve done this with permissions. After logging in, and the user is at the root level, all menus are shown correctly (I want all levels visible all the time). However, when I click on ’cars’, the members menu disappears, but everything else is still shown correctly.
I’ve called $modx->getUserDocGroups() (which wayfinder uses) from within a doc in a sub-container, and it returns nothing. When it’s called from the root, it returns the doc group id correctly.
Has this been fixed in 0.9.6? I couldn’t see it in the changelog.txt. I don’t even know if this is a bug, or due to a misconfiguration.
Has anyone any ideas about this? Hopefully I can work around it with TVs...
