Do you have the Template Switcher plugin installed? If so, delete it. It has caused similar issues for people running 0.9.5 in the past.
Also: There was a MySQL loop issue identified in 0.9.5 that has been fixed in the latest 0.9.6 Release Candidate. This may not be what’s going on for you, but you might try upgrading and seeing if that fixes it. The final version of 0.9.6 is due out any day now, so if you want to wait for that it won’t be very long.
And lastly, keep in mind that any snippet or other PHP code with bugs in it that you run on the page can cause the document parser or MySQL to register an error. All such code gets processed through those two systems, so an error in one of them doesn’t necessarily mean any problem with them in particular. It’s more likely that some of the code that you’re processing through them is the culprit, so try disabling your snippets one by one to see if that helps (I just add an "x" before the snippet call in documents when I want to disable them temporarily; if MODx can’t find a snippet with that name it just ignores it).
Since upgrading, I have been unable to replicate this issue. Seems to have been beautifully tackled with 0.9.6. Nice work. =]
