Creating new pages using raw SQL statements. Easy?

I’m wondering if it is straight forward to create pages using only SQL commands. I have a ton of blog posts from my old blog (which was WordPress based), and I’d like to avoid a lot of copying-and-pasting. If possible, I’d like to just create a big file of SQL statements like "INSERT INTO site_content VALUES (id, type, contentType, pagetitle, ..., privatemgr, content_dispo, hidemenu)". It looks like this would work, but I do not know if I would need to update any other tables in addition to site_contents.

So I guess my question is, "Is it really that easy?"

If you’re not using document permissions then yes all you have to do is add rows in to the [tt][prefix]site_content[/tt] table.

I imagine you won’t be using document permissions if you’re just creating a blog with one manager user.
