      Clear the files in the core/cache folders.

      That is - assuming you are on Revolution.

      Please do provide more information if you have troubles - makes us able of helping you better wink

        yea - I tried that... no dice.

        - I added a call to a chunk on the home page

        [[!getResources?
          &parents=`34,35`
          &hideContainers=`1`
          &tpl=`latestPostsTpl`
          &limit=`5`
          &sortby=`publishedon`
        ]]

        saved, then created the chunk

        <li>
          <a href="[[~[[+id]]]]">[[+pagetitle]]</a>
          [[+publishedon:notempty=`<br /> - [[+publishedon:strtotime:date=`%b %d, %Y`]]`]]
        </li>

        changes were not appearing - so I cleared the cache via admin.
        the site now returns a blank page only...

        I went into the database and deleted the content for both the call I added to the homepage and the content for the chunk I created ...

        still no page...

        I then backed up the cache folder & recreated it [with the same permissions/ownership]

        page is still blank

          I just did a graceful restart of the webserver and the site is now visible.

          - I am running an instace of xCache on the server ... does anyone know if there are issues between modx & xccache?

          -thanks

            Caching utils can definitely have an influence on MODX’s behavior... I guess the best thing to do is to disable them. MODX caches itself already, so you should be fine without it.
