Date Selection using renderFormElement

I am coding a module for creating custom pages (job openings, if you must know), and I’m making a publish and un-publish date selection box for the job input. I used renderFormElement (in manager/includes/tmplvars.inc.php) to generate the input box and it displays correctly, but when I click the calendar icon to select a date, nothing opens up, is there something I’m missing?

i think you need to include the js for show the popup

After my first reply I tried including the script ’manager/media/script/datefunctions.js’ and that made the calendar window show up finally, but now when I select a date, nothing updates

Does anyone know how to get the the calendar to work fully (using renderFormElement(’date’, ...); )?

i never use this api Any sugestions?
