Document Auto Naming

Okay, trying to figure out whether this is correct functioning or not...

I was trying out the auto-naming feature... at first I was concerned that it might change the name of existing files, but I see it is very smart and only auto-names if the alias is left blank, or the previous name is deleted, again making it blank.

But now I’m also seeing it append a number if a previous name was used, even if they are in different folders and duplicate names are set to yes in the configuration.

So if I have the following three folders and create a document in each with the Title of Test, this is what I get...

Folder 1
- Test becomes test
Folder 2
- Test becomes test1
Folder 3
- Test becomes test1

I’m assuming that if I create another document titled Test within one of these folders that I would get test2, but I didn’t actually test that, so to speak.

Can anyone confirm whether this is procedure, bug, quirk, or otherwise?
