    Hello,

I have recently uploaded a site that has been built with modx revo (traditional).
Everything in the uploaded site goes well except when it has to write to the database (MySql). It just doesn´t work (although syntax is correct as it works in local computer). However, if I then open a manager tab in the same browser and login, you can then write to the database.

The queries that fail are of the sort $modx->exec("Insert ...").

I know the code works as it has been tried in local computer but what am I missing?
The fact that if I login to the manager then everything suddenly works - I don’t even have to refresh the form, just resend it and what didn’t work suddenly works - points me to some sort of privilege conflict or lack off but I am very much puzzled by this.

I’ve enjoyed developing with Modx, but find this troubling.

By the way, the host works with Debian Lenny and I have updated php accordingly from 5.0.91 libraries.

Sounds like issues with the host setup..

What steps did you take in moving the local site to the server? Did you run setup in upgrade mode, or followed the advanced instructions here: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Moving+Your+Site+to+a+New+Server

Also, please give the following info (as can be found underneath the text box where you make your post in):

HEY YOU, READ THIS! If you’re posting about a bug, please state all of your Environment information in your post: Version of MODx, Traditional or Advanced distribution (for Revo), Server OS, Server Version, PHP Version, MySQL Version (client and server), is pdo_mysql installed, your Browser type and version, if you are using any opcode caching such as eAccelerator, APC, winCache, xCache, etc; any relevant errors in core/cache/logs/error.log, and any other environment data we should know. We can’t help you without that information.
