Okay, I have done the search of the forum for information on widgets and just like the online documentation it did not address how to setup and configure widgets.
I would like to make use of the marquee widget. I created a tv, set the widget parameters, created default input values (2 sentence and an h4 header prior to each) in the tv, placed it in my page and....nothing in Firefox. Seems to work in IE 6 and Opera 9. First off I couldn’t edit the tv unless I used the Quickedit function as the tv would not show up as and editable region for FCKEditor (this is a problem many times). The only thing that would show in the editor (still hate the FCKEditor) was the original tv value.
Come on guys, if we are going to use this system as a vehicle for clients to use we have got to get a better handle on ’how-to’ documentation. KISS is the principle here as most of the users of this system will be non-technical types. And even for us semi-technical types it can be a challenge.
Don’t get me wrong, this is still one of the best cms I have found but as in any open-source project documentation is the weak-link in being taken as a serious solution.
Anyone here able to give me the skinny on widget use (how to setup, use, valid markup, etc.) as well as how to make the marquee TV work Firefox?
