Hey Guys, I’ve built my site in MODx and so far it’s been a breeze, I’ve been able to achieve everything I’ve wanted easily enough, until now.

When I try to add a context to a user group it will not save, it gives no error message or anything. I’ve watched this video (http://vimeo.com/13856994) and followed the steps exactly but can’t get it to work. If you skip to 11:40 in the vid this is where I get stuck. I choose the same options as him, then click the Save button, the little "Please Wait, saving" window pops up momentarily then it disappears and the "User Group Access to Context" box is still there and nothing has been added to the list. I’m pulling my hair out on this one, I’ve spent hours trying to work it out and just can’t get anywhere. If any one has any suggestions for me they would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Thank You,
    Greg.

I just tried the same thing on a local installation and it worked perfectly so I guess there maybe an issue with my server? Any ideas where I should be looking?

      Cheers,
      Greg.

While I don’t use Revo, a few possibilities come to mind.

Does your remote server have any security applications like mod_security or suhosin running?

Does your remote server have any compression, speed-up or caching utilities running?

Try logging out of local and remote Managers, completely clear your browser cache and cookies for the domain.

Try re-uploading the manager files and running the original installer in upgrade mode; you may have gotten a corrupted file in there somewhere.

Thanks for the reply, I actually just got it to work a different way by going into system > contexts > update contexts > access permissions. Even with the permissions set correctly here they still don’t show up when going through Access Controls. I’ll try a reinstall and see if that fixes things.

          Thanks again.
