Hi guys
I’ve recently installed Modx 0.9.2.1 rev 1005 on an Intel Mac running Apache 1.3.33/PHP 5.1.6 (Marc Liyange’s 5.1.6-1package)/My SQL 5.0.24-standard - and there are a few problems I’m encountering that I’ve not encountered when installing on another system.
I installed the CMS without the sample site. When I create a new document or new folder and modify the searchable, cacheable, menu listing option, or published it does NOT save my changes. It reverts to whatever is default in the System Configuration options.
I’ve tried the latest versions of Firefox, Safari, Shiira and Camino and the problem is still persistent. I’ve already tried dropping the database and re-installing, with no changes. Are there known issues with my configuration?
Pleeeeease help me. and let me know if you need any more details.

Incidentally, I installed installed 0.9.5 rev 1371 and it all seems to work, with regards to saving preferences on documents. Just thought I’d let you know.

I can’t wait till the full stable release is out - this is GREAT! I’m not sure if it’s the new PHP/MySQL combo, but the manager is very speedy in comparison.
I’m not sure if this is the right forum to express some observations and possible bugs, so I don’t want to be too hasty and add it to the bug tracker, but here goes...
- I can’t seem to save a document to have its Web Access permissions as private (I’m trying to do this by unchecking the Access Permissions checkbox at the bottom of the document’s edit page). When I save it, the check box remains. I have Use Access Permissions enabled in the Configuration page.
- I only have a title assigned to a document (i.e. "Home" without the quotes for the index page) and using the default Minimal Template the call [*pagetitle*] renders NOTHING on the page (despite there obviously being a page title - Home).
- I would love to be able to multiple select an ad hoc selection of items in the document tree, have them highlighted as selected and the be able to right-click (as you do now) to apply the existing right-click functions to them.
If you want, I’ll write what I find here as I go through it.

Arguably this should be somewhere else, but you have a mixture of bug reports and feature requests so here’s probably the best place to keep this.

You can’t do it quite like that, but you
can select multiple document tree items and apply things to them using the new module Doc Manager:
Modules > Doc Manager. Other Properties - at the bottom you’ll find "View and select documents using the document tree", which will then reload the page to include a tree with checkboxes.
Ahh, I didn’t notice that button - granted it’s about 2 inches long and blindingly obvious on the page.
Pretty close to what I was looking for...
