Hi guys, just a quick query, is there anyway way to force a sitewide refresh of all related tv’s?
I find that if I make any changes to tv’s utilised across multiple templates I have to manually open each page in the manager, change the tv and then save the page for it to reflect any changes, this happens particularly with multi-select check boxes, perhaps a nice feature for ver 1.0 would be a "refresh template variables" button under System Administration or add functionality onto the "refresh site" button that not only clears the site cache but updates all page specific relational information.
Any thoughts in the interim would be appreciated!

Last week I started reviewing the whole TV concept and have found a number of issues/limitation with the current design. The new design that I came up with will certainly resolve this issue and will offer a lot more interesting features.
In MODx 0.9 if you have modified the TV’s default value when saving the document then it will save the modied copy with the document. If you then go and change the default text for the TV it will not change the already saved version of it.
This is my experience of how the tv’s are working at the moment, it’s pretty frustrating for me ’cos I’m discovering that as my site evolves I need to adapt the tv’s accordingly and since I publish on average 12 new documents each month it’s becoming really tedious to go through 50 pages and resave/reset tv’s.
I’m looking forward to your new methodologies. Glad and I could have brought certain pitfalls within the MODX framework to light!
