using different user groups for different folders for one user?

Hi guys,

I am in a small dilemma - the user functionality is great - but I have not found a way yet to set different priveleges for one user for different folders:

I want student_A to be able to:
only write new documents in the news-folder, but not to publish
while he should have edit, write, save and publish rights in the users-folder
but only have rights to edit and save and publish in the s_variables folder

is there any way to do that?

Secondly, when I have the document structure like Folder1:Folder2:Document, and student is only allowed to create new documents in Folder2 - so I give him no rights for Folder1
But when he logs in, he cannot see Folder2 - because he can’t see Folder1 aswell - he can only search for Folder2 and find it through the search
But when I give him permissions for Folder1 aswell, on the one hand he can now see Folder2 - but on the other, he is also able to create new Documents in Folder1 - and I don’t like him to do that

any way out of that dilemma?
