Suggestion: phpOpenTracker (Replacing built in MODx stats)

Hi guys,

Any thought of implementing this built in? I’m not sure about the resource perofrmance though, but this system doesn’t generate pre-defined report, instead it will allow us to define our own report with the provided API. It can be integrated either using embeded php or webbug (img tag). I think this will be a better solution in case someone doesn’t have javascript enabled. We also have a flexible stats that we can generate for default installatin, while allowing snippet maker or other the 2nd tier users to use the API further in generateing their own stats needs.

I’m really leaning towards SlimStat as the built in default stats plugin, and ripping out the current ones completely as they’re just plain not that good.

Any other thought? Suggestions, comments, or whatever it is will be awesome. Never use the script before, but it seems promising, so if someone want to comment on this system, it will be AWESOME!

Slimstat looks pretty good in my opinion.

not only that, but it’s replaced the built in stats in the current SVN... still a few issues to work out, but ...

One question : will the stats still be stored in slimstat default tables ? I am asking because I installed it as a plugin for clients and would like to keep the current data when I update...

That’s the way it’s set up now. Stephen also just posted an update on his blog about reducing the slimstat DB size too, FYI.

Will this be integrated into 0.92? That would make me very happy. My clients like seeing simple stats within the manager, but personally I find the existing stats module slow, clunky, and limited.
