Developers, what additions to the API would you appreciate most?

I want API for viewing breadcrumb, which is the same with subdocs, but it will look for parents instead
I believe there are several snippets that do that now with very few lines of code.

The TV APIs are difficult to use and understand as they’re done now. They’re not consistent with the way the document content are handled.
