I might have to bite the bullet on this and just disable the Quick Uploads feature for now. The problem is that it only has one static path in a config.php file. I’ve tried hacking the upload script to accept a querystring option...but it just doesn’t want to stick at the moment. I’ve posted a message on the FCK boards for the devs. Hopefully they’ll pay attention. The current status of the Quick Uploads feature is just too restrictive. Doesn’t appear to be configured to allow uploads to different directories based on file type. I’ll play with it some more...but I’m leaning on the idea that it just isn’t really worth it at the moment. It’s more of a fringe thing than anything else.

One quick question...
Why bother with the Quick upload when you can upload, preview and edit images from the resource browser? It seems like a redundant feature to me.
Umm...yeah...I was...thinking...the same...thing. Heh heh!
Yeah, you’re right. It is redundant. But I just thought that if I could get it working right...well...why the hell not! But until the devs for FCK can fix it a bit better then I’m gonna drop the idea for the moment. I’ll probably come back to it once my mind is fresh again.

Now for another quirk. With the MCPUK Resource Browser, I’ve always noticed that "out of the box" it has a problem refreshing the window whenever a file is uploaded.
Was this ever sorted as i still have the issue. I saw you cold edit one of the files, but this introduced another bug, so wondering if anyone sorted it.

Yes...and it requires a few minor edits. I think I posted this in the Bugs sections. At any rate, should be cleared up in TP4. I’ll be making a post on the bug board just to be sure.

solution:
Administration>System Configuration>Interface & editor settings(tab)>Resource path:
should be set using the full path to the root of your instalation with the addition of "assets"
