Best way to check whether code is being accessed by a manager from the backend?

I’ve seen this used in some Snippets/Modules:



Is there a better way to test whether a bit of code is being accessed from inside the manager by a manager user (with highest privileges)?

Check the SESSION. I’ve got an article on my site discussing sessions, and have a snippet to display the SESSION. You can log in to the manager, then view the article to see how a manager login SESSION looks.
