How-to put special image for visitor become xyz.com

In first, i try this, but it dont work.
the session are not valide on all page. When the visior go click on link the $_SERVER["HTTP_REFERER"] are now the adresse of my site

          if (eregi("http://.+xyz.com.+", $_SERVER["HTTP_REFERER"]))
                   {
                        echo "my action";
                        $_SESSION[’fx’] = 1 ;

echo  $_SESSION[’fx’];

The cookies can do this?
What do you think about that ?
