blog with modx newsManager

hello guys i want to create basic blog with modx however i found NewsManager is not included in new modx release so what to use now to create basic blog ?

alternately what we can use now ?

any idea please help

hi kp thank you very much for the reply, Ok i will install newsPublisher would you please tell me what paramater i will pass to make newly created page unpublished using newsPublisher ?

I don’t think the form template within NewsPublisher has a field for you to request "published" or "unpublished" as such. It does let you set dates for publication/depublication, and sets the published field by comparing them with "now" when you submit the post. You may or may not be able to add a checkbox to a form of your own to connect to the "published" document variable, I don’t remember if it will be picked up automatically.

Once a post is submitted, adjustments are made via the manager interface - NP has no mechanisms of its own for re-editing existing posts.

This is from memory - I’m not intending to dive back into the original code to check what’s there or what might be done to update it. I’m hoping that my own developments are something of an improvement, after all!

Hi Thank you very much KP i got the way to to set unpublished document from user end

i just changed the query in newsPublisher snippet just find the published in $flds array in snippet and set the value to ’0’ that’s all,it may help someone who is looking for the same solution

this is also solved comments form and comments is sorted now

[!Jot?&placeholders=`1` &output=`0` &customfields=`name,email` &subscribe=`1` &pagination=`4` &badwords=`dotNet` &canmoderate=`Site Admins` !]
                [+jot.html.comments+]
                [+jot.html.moderate+]
                [+jot.html.form+]

first set the placeholders=`1` in jot call and place placeholder below jot call or i think can be anywhere
