getResources with SQL Joins

Hi All

I have just been given a site which is part finished, and I am new to modx.

I want to create a navigation snippit element which will do a job a bit like getResources.

I will be passing in the parent (only one) and I want to get a list out. There is a module called star_rating so I want to link to it’s table. The SQL is something like.

<br />SELECT `SC` . * <br />FROM `modx_site_content` `SC` <br />LEFT JOIN `modx_star_rating` `SR` ON `SC`.`id` = `SR`.`star_Id` <br />WHERE `SC`.`parent` = ’94’<br />ORDER BY `SR`.`vote_total` / `SR`.`vote_count` DESC <br />

Can some one point me in the right direction to achieve this.
