I’ve been using xPDO in production applications (with and without MODx) for almost 3 years now; and I wrote xPDO because of Propel. The prototype for Revolution was written with Propel and I hated it so much I had to roll my own ORM. PHP Doctrine is a little more promising than Propel, but for me, I’m fully invested in xPDO. It’s lighter than any other ORM, is designed specifically around PDO, and once documentation for xPDO is available, I’m hoping it will gain some more momentum.
I have been investigating PDO to use with MODx release 0.9.6.3 Also, I have reviewed about ORM’s.
What is your recommendation to use, for example, ORM Propel:

as one alternattive of XPDO? ...because now, MODx Revolution GA is not ready?

MODx Revolution is written on top of xPDO, but xPDO has no dependencies on MODx.

When do you think that the xPDO documentation will be available?
Please, I do not understand very well about "xPDO has no dependencies on MODX"
May I already use MODx Revolution for production without critical problems, instead of MODx 0.9.6.3?
