Image editor not working

When trying to insert an image, there is an option to edit the image which we’ve not used before! However none of the effects (resize, rotate etc) have any effect and the image doesn’t appear in the editing window (there’s a square, but no image).

This is now resolved (thanks David Bunker!) - add full URL to ’tools > configuration > Resource URL’

I helped sort this out for Steve by :
From the Manager set Tools => Configuration => Interface & Features => Resource URL to the full url i.e. http://www.your-domain.com/assets/
It seems as if the Image Editor requires it, thought the FCKeditor Resource Browser doesn’t.
I’ve looked a 6 sites, the only ones that have the Image Editor working correctly also have the full url.
None of the sites without the full url have a working Image Editor.
The sites were 0.9.6.2 or 0.9.6.3, not tested for Evolution 1.0.
If anyone else could confirm this it probably needs a Jira ticket raising.

Yes... here is the problem:

I changed the "File Browser URL" from "assets/" to "http://www.mydomain.com/assets/"

Proceeded to Use the FCKEditor to edit a file on the Image Editor.

Fantastic! I can now see the image, resize, rotate and save.

I continue to select this new image, but on the "Insert/edit Image" box it shows the URL is now "www.mydomain.comassets/images/myphoto.jpg" ...which is a broken URL.

I can of course edit it to look like this manually: "http://www.mydomain.com/assets/images/myphoto.jpg" but this isn’t acceptable with a client.

So I did a quick edit to the "config.inc.php" file under the "manager/media/ImageEditor/"

Changed the line: $IMConfig[’base_url’] = $rb_base_url;
To: $IMConfig[’base_url’] = "http://www.mydomain.com/assets/";

I then changed "File Browser URL" back to "assets/" so that the rest of the site works.

So far so good... but if anyone thinks this is a potentially bad idea, let me know. It is the only workaround I’ve managed to get working.
