Debugging Tactics: MODx Parse Error

Oddly, I’m only getting this error when I preview a page containing the Snippet I’m developing. If I use the friendly URL, the error vanishes. I’m not sure how to figure out what exactly is throwing the error other than rely on my intuition. Anyone have ideas? Here’s the error... not specific enough for me to pinpoint the cause.

I found the problem area... not a pretty method, but you can find a lot of things by pasting in

print_r($x);
exit;

in your Snippets... I kept moving it down until I found the line that MODx didn’t like. Man, I miss the Perl debugger...

And I bet it was somewhere near line 37?

Ha. Well, that’s where MODx was choking, yes... but I found I had misspelled a variable name by going through the main sub-routines in my Snippet to see where it was returning bunk values.
