[RESOLVED] Need help with wayfinder

Ok, I am experiencing some fun stuff with wayfinder. I am building a site and need to be able to insert unique id’s into the nav (for styling purposes). I want the nav to be generated from the site structure as opposed to me hard coding it.

I created a tv to ad an id to each page when I make it, and I have gone through all the steps outlined in the demo on the wayfinder site. I can get the id’s to work, but every nav item is getting the same ID based on the page! So in the about us section I end up with 9 about us buttons, then 9 contact us, and so on.

I’ve been going through this for an hour, can anyone help?

You should work with &rowIdPrefix

description: If this parameter is set, Wayfinder will replace the placeholder [+wf.id+] with a unique id consisting of the specified prefix plus the document id.
example: &rowIdPrefix=`topMenu` will output the following for doc # 29: id="topMenu29"

Thanks for the response. I actually figured it out, there should be a large disclaimer in the wayfinder documentation stating that wayfinder uses [++] for tv’s instead of [**]. Could have saved me a few hours of stress development.
